Use the aseptic non-touch technique (practices to prevent introduction or pathogens during procedures).

Sterilise or safely dispose of any equipment that penetrates skin or produces blood.

Provide a Fact Sheet (Client Health Information Sheet) about the transmission or Infectious Diseases to each client. See Links below.

Client's Name, Address, and Telephone Number must be recorded, kept for a least 12 months and stores for at least 12 months and stored at the premises where the business is conducted, taking reasonable steps to protect the information contained in the records.

If you would like to make changes to your business including installing hand wash basin, removing/installing walls, ceiling or other changes you may require an Alterations Application to ensure you meet the Public Health & Wellbeing Act requirements for your business.

All equipment, furniture, fittings, floors, walls and ceilings are to be constructed of materials suitable for the procedures undertaken in the area.

The premises is to be designed to provide separate function-specific client and staff cleaning/sterilising areas.

Hands-free hand-washing facilities are to be clearly designated for the sole purpose of washing hands, supplied with liquid soap and single-use paper towel (bars of soap should not be used.

Council also recommends liaising with Council’s Business Concierge Team or call 9688 0200 as additional permits with Council’s Planning, Building & Local Law Departments may be required.
